EMFLOWER has recently launched new plus sizes of their period underwear specifically tailored for curvy women. These new sizes include AU20, AU22, and AU24 in their Hip Hugger style.

plus size period underwear for curvy women

One of the standout features of EMFLOWER's period underwear is that they are made from certified organic cotton, which is not only better for the environment but also gentler on the skin. Unlike other brands that use synthetic materials, which can cause rashes and discomfort, EMFLOWER's organic cotton underwear is super soft, comfy and stretchy, providing women, girls and individuals with the comfort and protection they need during their period.

Organic cotton is a type of cotton that is grown without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides, making it more sustainable and better for our health. The use of pesticides and chemicals in conventional cotton farming has been linked to various health issues, including skin irritation, allergies, and even cancer. By using organic cotton, EMFLOWER is not only providing a safer option for women during their time of the month, but also contributing to the reduction of harmful chemicals in the environment.

In addition to being environmentally friendly and gentle on the skin, EMFLOWER's period underwear is also highly effective in preventing leaks. The underwear features a moisture-wicking layer that draws liquid away from the body, as well two layers of absorbent material preventing leaks and keeping women feeling dry and comfortable throughout the day.

Overall, EMFLOWER's new sizes of period underwear for curvy women in sizes AU20, AU22, and AU24, made from certified organic cotton, offer both comfort and protection, while also being environmentally friendly and gentle on the skin. Women can feel confident and comfortable during their period, knowing that they are using a product that is both effective and safe for their health and the environment.

How To Wash Period Underwear

How To Wash Period Underwear

Period underwear have become increasingly popular over the years due to their convenience and sustainability. However, washing them can be a bit tricky, especially if you're new to using your period or incontinence underwear. Proper washing and care are crucial to keep the underwear hygienic and in good condition. How do you wash your period underwear? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to wash period underwear effectively. A step by step guide on how to wash period underwear

Firstly, rinse the period underwear well in cold water. This step is essential to remove any excess blood and prevent staining. The easiest way to rinse them is to do it while in the shower, bath or in a laundry basin. Alternatively, you can leave them in a bucket of cold water with a bit of laundry detergent to soak if you're not doing washing for a few days. If leaving your underwear to soak, make sure you rinse them again before placing them into the washing machine.

Always wash your underwear in cold or lukewarm water and avoid using fabric softener or bleach as they are made from organic material with mostly plant dye for the material coloring. These products can damage the material and reduce their effectiveness. Instead, wash them in a laundry washing bag with other delicate items on a 40-degree machine wash cycle. This will help keep the underwear in good condition, prevent any damage, pilling, de-threading or tears. The lifespan of your period underwear will also be extended by taking care to rinse, wash and dry the underwear with the recommended instructions. EMFLOWER period and incontinence underwear will last up to 90 machine washes when washed in a laundry wash bag and on a spin cycle under 800 rpm.

How to dry period underwear

After washing, hang the period or incontinence underwear to dry. They cannot be put into the dryer as the four absorbent layers in the crotch need to stay in place. It's best to hang them in a well-ventilated area and avoid direct sunlight. If you forget to rinse or wash them for a couple of days, put the period underwear through two machine washes to help get rid of any stains or smells.

Always wash your underwear in cold water and avoid using fabric softener or bleach. These products can damage the material and reduce their effectiveness.

Washing your period underwear is not as complicated as it may seem. But if you are in doubt, just send us an email or connect with us on our socials and we would be happy to help answer your questions. With proper care, your period underwear can last for years, making them a sustainable, healthy and cost-effective option for managing your menstrual cycle.
